A Simple Wish for the Season

There’s something about the week of Christmas that naturally draws us into two worlds at once. On the one hand, we’re looking back over the year coming to a close and considering how it unfolded in ways we expected and in ways we never saw coming. On the other hand, our minds are drifting forward into the year ahead, wondering what it holds in store.

It’s a drill we all know too well.
Reflection and anticipation.
Gratitude and ambition.
Accomplishments and things left undone.

But my own thinking has led me to realize that what most of us need isn’t a reminder to set goals or craft strategies for January. We know well enough how to do that. What we need right now is something far more subtle, and far more meaningful.

My wish for you this Christmas is that you experience at least one moment where everything in and around you gently settles. A moment where the constant noise that hums in the background finally quiets long enough for you to recognize how much strength you’ve gained, how much resilience you’ve shown, and how many blessings have appeared, sometimes in small, almost unnoticed ways throughout the year.

So, as Christmas arrives, I hope you find time to breathe, to rest, to appreciate the people who matter, and to acknowledge the progress you’ve made, even if it didn’t always announce itself. Oh, it’s been there, quietly waiting for you.

Thank you to everyone who has been a part of my journey this year. Your encouragement, partnership, and presence have made an impact on me that reaches further than you may ever realize.

I hope this season brings you peace, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction for the year ahead.

Merry Christmas,
Jay
